Motion Picture Work

I’ve been working in the motion picture industry since 2001, both as a Character and Pipeline Technical Director (TD). The following links outline my technical accomplishments, film credits and work samples for the motion picture industry.

For the uninitiated, a Character-TD is simply responsible for getting computer generated (CG) characters on-screen as directed. This work requires coordinating with multiple departments, producing and delivering digital “puppets” to animation, motion capture, and the final articulated high resolution geometry to lighting. It’s a technical and artistically demanding occupation which requires a background in sculpture, anatomy, coding and kinematics.

Similarly, a Pipeline-TD codes and debugs artist tools for the creation and processing of digital assets within the proprietary framework of a Visual Effects studio.

While the hours are long, and deadlines stressful, I’ve found this work exciting and rewarding. I certainly consider myself fortunate to have achieved this unlikely aspiration.
